You can arrange the rental of a safety deposit box at our branch or online. When ordering online, you first fill in your personal details, select the number of boxes, their size, the rental period and any additional security features. In the next step, you choose the payment method. The account only starts working after a short in-person meeting at the branch. After that, you can use your safety deposit box completely without restrictions.

Yes, the documents must be signed in person with us. We will then hand over the security card and keys. The whole process takes no more than 15 minutes. It is the first and last meeting you need to attend before you start using your safety deposit box.
We offer safety deposit box rentals for one month, three months, six months, a year and up to seven years. The rental period can be extended as needed. You can also terminate the rental and later reactivate your account.
No, the service is completely discreet. We upload all documentation to your account. We print contract documents only upon request
You can only access the box if you have the card and keys and know the PIN. In your user account, you can choose additional security features for a fee: fingerprint and remote SMS monitoring. That means we will send you a notification whenever someone accesses your box.
Yes. We assign the person their own card and PIN, both of which must be collected in person at the branch. You grant access to other people online through your user account. You can also see the full list of authorized persons and their activity there.
Call us and we will block it, or you can block it yourself in your account. To issue a new one, you need to log in to the system and request a meeting, or we can sort everything out in person at the branch. We do not send security cards by post.
We will notify you in time about the upcoming subscription expiry. If you duly pay the advance invoice, we will extend the safety deposit box rental automatically.
You must vacate the box on the day the rental ends. If you fail to do so, it will remain allocated to you for another 3 months from the end of the subscription. If you do not collect the contents during this period, we will open the box under commission, inventory the property and store it for another 3 years at your expense. If you collect the contents on time, you only return the security keys. You can keep the card; we will block it until the next activation.
Prohibited items include liquids, flammables, explosives, weapons, perishables and items whose possession violates generally binding regulations, such as drugs, pharmaceuticals and others.
All boxes, regardless of the chosen size, have a load capacity of 25 kg. If the contents you deposit exceed this limit, the system will notify you. In that case, the box will still be stored in the vault, but you may damage the transport lift and cause damage of up to 100,000 CZK. You can solve this situation by renting multiple boxes.
Yes, safety deposit boxes are a tax-deductible expense.
You must provide personal details to open an account. The service is nevertheless anonymous in the sense that, unlike banks, SafeBoxes is not subject to the Czech National Bank (ČNB) reporting obligation. ČNB is entitled to require banks to provide information about safety deposit box owners. SafeBoxes has no such obligation and does not provide data to anyone.
No one. Only the rightful owner, who owns and knows the unique combination of all access elements, can summon a safety deposit box. The system does not allow a box to be summoned with any other PIN or card.
The vault is permanently sealed, as it is operated exclusively by a robot. It is opened only in exceptional cases, such as service operations or when the contents of a box are not collected after the subscription expires and the subsequent grace period (3 months) ends. In such situations, entry is subject to a strict security protocol — it takes place only in the presence of all authorized persons, is supervised by the camera system and physical security, and a notary is present on site in accordance with applicable standards.
Yes. In that case, we take out the supplementary insurance for the safety deposit box with Generali Česká pojišťovna in our name. Your name will not appear anywhere. Within a week, we will upload a certificate confirming the insurance of the specific safety deposit box to your account.
